    1842 LAND TRANSFER DEED from Edmund SCANTLAND (aka SCANLAND) and his wife Ann SCANTLAND to Joseph ROBERTS. Attorney was L. LINDSEY. Land was located in FRANKLIN COUNTY, KENTUCKY.
    The land transfer deed was HANDWRITTEN by ATTORNEY L. LINDSEY of the notable Lindsey family of Frankfort, Kentucky.
    Single fold 8x12.25 inch sheet to make FOUR PAGES, three of which are filled with writing. There is also a smaller single page attached to the back of the document..
    FAIR condition. The document was folded for storage and has several horizontal and a single vertical fold; there is some foxing, light water staining, creases from handling, and some closed tears at the folds; nonetheless still a solid deed with writing that is bright and fully legible.
