    Description

    1854 notice of 0 note due from Naumkeag Bank of Salem, MA to the estate of Asa Wheeler. (7.4" x 3")
    Please examine pictures closely for condition. Creased where previously folded with additional creases, two small tears (1/8" at the left top, 1/16" at the left bottom), 5/8" tear at the top of the center fold has been tape repaired on the reverse*, stains on both sides, small pencil notation on the reverse.

    *I would not use tape to repair items as the glue migrates, often discolors, and is extremely difficult to remove without damage. Most conservators would prefer to use rice paper and note that the item has been repaired.
