    Handwritten Receipt
    w/Morris County Seal
    * This is for a vintage 1883 hand-written court receipt / document with a Morris County, NJ seal. It is signed by the Clerk of the Court, Melvin S. Condit. The top of the paper is dated Littleton, NJ, Dec. 8, 1883 for the estate of John Condit Smith to Richard Vanderhoff. Looks to be a satisfaction of debt receipt. The seal is near the bottom left of the written portion. Just underneath the clerks signature. Mr. Vanderhoff also signed the document.
    Condition:
    * There is soiling to both sides. The back has toning (aging stains). The upper right corner has a bend crease. There is a one inch crease split at the top right. And there is a small center hole/rip also at the top fold. There are a few other tiny crease splits as this paper document was folded several time.
