    Description

Boston Perfumery M. C. Hood 1870's Stock Receipt Store Log 67 Billheads Lot
Lot of over 100 Billheads belonging to Milton Hood of M.C. Hood & Co., a Boston Fancy Goods Shop and Perfumery which was located at 289 Devonshire, Boston.
These billheads are receipts for goods purchased by Milton for which he later sold in his shop.
They are receipts for corsets, soaps, pocketbooks, jewelry, fabrics, clothes etc..
These are a great piece of Boston history.
Hood's claim to fame was Hood's French Cologne. I believe he bottled that in the 1880's but I was able to find a few trade cards of his on google.
