Up for auction is a vintage folded stampless cover and letter combination that was written at and mailed from New York City and addressed to Mrs Benagah Beardsley, Jones County, Cascade Post Office, Iowa Territory.  Letter is undated and I went with it being from around 1842 as the Iowa Territory existed from 1838-1846, so I stuck the date in the middle of that time frame.  Letter is of a personal and what's going on around here nature, written by A.E. (Ann Eliza) Wade.  Paper has damaged edges, interior tears and cuts, but biggest issue is the staining, especiaslly on the cover sheet...Comes with a transcription courtesy of a previous owner.........
