A little bit about the preparation of the shoes, boots, sandals and flipflops found in my store.
Sourcing, where did these shoes come from? I find shoes at local thrift stores, garage sales, Church Bazaars. I only buy the best available without any major flaws or defects. Once purchased I do an initial clean. I then inspect the shoe to see what is needed to restore them to their best condition possible.
They are then placed in the sun for a day to kill any germ and air out. I place a fabric softener in each shoe, and they are sprayed with Lysol.
Then I start the cleaning process. I have found it best to clean the bottom first, then the inside of the shoe and then the outside. Along the way I replace shoes string when needed and sometime add inserts. I ensure all the hooks and loops, zippers etc. are in good working order.
When the shoes are, cleaned, sanitize, polished, deodorized and have their final inspection, I make pictures. I do my best to make pictures that will allow you to inspect the shoe as thoroughly as possible.
I spend a lot of time describe the shoe completely. If there are issues, I will describe those also. I will ensure a photo is added so you can see what I see. I priced them fairly and weigh and measure in preparation for shipping.
Once this is done, I replace the fabric softener sheet in each shoe place them in a plastic bag and store.
I do my best to give an honest inspection, clean, description, photos and fair prices and shipping.
