Description
Size:Meter Only, 555 to 808 mm Hg
The Oakton DO 110 meter is a dissolved oxygen (DO) meter with automatic temperature compensation, automatic compensation for salinity and barometric pressure based on manually entered values, and a dual display that shows mg/L (ppm) or % saturation, plus temperature. The meter takes a galvanic probe (sold separately), which takes measurements without warmup time. The meter displays electrode diagnostics to determine when the probe needs service or replacement. The meter can store up to 100 datasets and has an RS232 communication port for transferring readings to a printer or computer by cable (not included). The meter has a hold function, automatic shutoff, and a ready indicator. It runs on four 1.5V AAA batteries (included) or AC adapter (sold separately) and has European Conformity (CE) certification. DO meters are commonly used in water-quality testing applications.

Dissolved oxygen (DO) meters measure the amount of dissolved oxygen present in water. The amount of DO helps to determine, for example, drinking water quality, the health of lakes or streams, and aquatic organism sustainability. A probe, also called a sensor or electrode, is inserted into the sample to perform the measurement, and the results appear on the meter display. Applications include sewage and water treatment plants, pollution control, fish farms, and various types of manufacturing.
Oakton Instruments manufactures scientific instruments for research, industrial, and educational uses. The company, founded in 1991 and headquartered in Vernon Hills, IL, specializes in meters, electrodes, and transmitters.
